Working under the guidance of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Regional Sales Manager (Northeast) will lead the profitable growth and booking targets of Precision Engineering's fabricated sheet metal product line for the Northeast region of the United States.
This role requires a technically savvy sales professional within the fabricated sheet metal industry that has a proven track record of relationship building, closing deals, and nurturing an active sales pipeline.
The Regional Sales Manager will be a key contributor to driving Precision Engineering's ambitious growth plans in the marketplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Maintain and nurture Precision engineering's existing sheet metal customer base within the territory.
Identify, target, and establish new customers for standard and custom fabricated products across a myriad of industries with the goal of converting opportunities into new business.
Follow-up on leads from web inquiries and distribution sales to qualify potential opportunities.
Perform on-site presentations and demonstrations at prospective customer sites.
Partner with Engineering team and reporting platform organization colleagues (Thermal Solutions Segment) connections (Wakefield thermal) to support design and production efforts.
Liaise with plant management leadership team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and that delivery metrics and dates are communicated and upheld.
Partner with Precision Engineerings Customer Care Coordinator who supports sales and positive customer experience efforts with daily communication, plant coordination and order management for customers.
Plan, forecast, and report on regional business performance via KPI Metrics.
Participate in the annual sales and budget planning process along with the other members of the Precision Engineering leadership team.
Utilize a CRM system to manage client calls and relationships as well as track leads, opportunities, conversions, and bookings.

Qualifications:
B.
S Degree in Business Management or an Engineering discipline.
5 years of direct sales experience within the fabricated sheet metal industry.
Solid understanding of sheet metal processing (punching, cutting, forming, welding) and ability and understanding to bring the right mix of product lines to the business.
Excellent MS office capabilities required - proficiency in CRM enterprise systems.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
High energy, positive, go-getter with a winning attitude and a desire for success Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
